More Details

Mother Earth Perlite is naturally occurring siliceous rock that when heated to 1600 F expands up to 20 times its original volume. This kilning process is very similar to popping popcorn and produces a growing medium that is sterile and has a neutral pH of 7.0. The exceptional physical properties of this giant perlite make it tops in the perlite world for adding porosity to soil and soilless mixes. This giant also has numerous hydroponic applications as well. The #4 averages a whopping size of around 1” and the #3 measures around ½”. 4 cu ft. each size perlite.

Great size and useful for our garden

We used our perlite to mix in the soil to avoid wet feet. It works well and our plants are thriving. Thanks!

Great stuff for my dutch buckets, just wish it wasn't so dusty....

I've used several bags of this from WTG and it does the job for my tomatoes and peppers in Bato/Dutch buckets. It's the nature of this stuff to have particulates, but I wish there was an easier way to clean it. I try to wash out the particles so they don't shorten the life of my pumps. The WTG staff recommended Perlite #3 the first time and I'll def continue buying it.
