Disease and pest control is an essential element of any productive indoor garden. The first and best defense is prevention: don’t bring any new plants in to your garden without trusting the source and inspecting them carefully yourself. Many successful indoor growers quarantine new plants for 7-14 days in a controlled area to prevent the spread of powdery mildew, spider mites, and other garden problems.

If you’ve noticed just a few garden pests or a small disease outbreak, immediately treat the affected and surrounding areas. Keep a close eye on the problem and follow the instructions on the bottle. You may want to continue spraying as a preventative even after the problem goes away. If your plants start to look unhappy after spraying, consider diluting the spray or trying a different product.
