Clean water is important to plant growth - this is especially true in dense urban areas with heavily treated water. Sometimes tap water has high amounts of salts in it - you can measure this with a EC/TDS meter - and will burn plants or cause nutrient lockouts. In this case you want to install a reverse osmosis filter (RO filter). It will filter and purify your tap water and promote fast plant growth. Our RO filters are equipped with carbon filters that remove chlorine from tap water. This is very important if you’re using beneficial bacteria, mycorrizae, compost tea, or other living elements in your nutrient solution. Chlorine and related compounds will kill your beneficial bacteria before it was a chance to help your garden.
